Covid 19 Second Lockdown Update
Leedale Ltd are delighted to report that we will be keeping our offices open & vehicles operational as we head into a second lockdown.
The Government have confirmed that the housing market will remain open, people can still move house and estate and letting agencies will not need to close during England’s second national lockdown confirmed Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick on Twitter. “The housing market will remain open throughout this period,” wrote Jenrick. “Everyone should continue to play their part in reducing the spread of the virus by following the current guidance.”
England will enter its second national lockdown on 5 November, which will continue until at least 2 December. Although the overarching message remains the same as it was during the first national lockdown – “stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives” – the restrictions will differ slightly this time around, particularly for the housing market. All non-essential retail premises will again be required to close, but this will not include estate and letting agencies.
“Renters and homeowners will be able to move; removal firms and estate agents can operate; construction sites can and should continue; Tradespeople will be able to enter homes; but all must follow the Covid safety guidance,” wrote Jenrick on Twitter.
