Sponsorship Secured For Growing Club
Construction plant and vehicle specialists Leedale, which is based in Alfreton, have pledged support for young footballers at Hatton United Junior FC.
Despite being founded just five years ago, Hatton United is already one of the largest grassroots junior football clubs in the Derbyshire and Burton league with 17 boys and girls teams across all age groups.
Leedale has provided training and match kit for the under- 16s boys team which plays in division one of the Burton Junior football league. Having come runners up in the league last year, they have their eyes on the winner’s trophy this year.
Hatton Utd Junior FC chairman Matt Underwood said: “We have expanded rapidly to now provide training and competitive football opportunities for more than 250 young people from Hatton and the surrounding area.
“Our ethos is to keep costs as low as we can for families so that no one is excluded from the opportunity to benefit from team sports and the support of companies such as Leedale is therefore vital for us.”
Oliver Walkup is commercial director at Leedale which is a market leader in providing a range of plant and vehicles for the construction industry.
He said: “Having established the company 30 years ago her in Derbyshire we are always keen to support our local communities.
“Teamwork amongst our 68-strong workforce is very much at the heart of what we do as a company so we particularly want to encourage young people to build those skills whether that is through group activities or sports such as football.
“We wish Hatton Utd under 16’s and indeed all of the boys and girls teams at the club every success this season.”
